The Team assisted our Body Corporate on a disputed debt recovery matter, where an application was lodged in QCAT against our Body Corporate. The Team had the matter resolved entirely satisfactorily with 1 letter and a small invoice to match. We were given clear, concise advice and the Debt Recovery Team knew what they were talking about, as shown by the prompt result. I believe the matter could have easily blown out if we didn’t have the MLS Team onboard with their proactive and solution-based focus. I would recommend MLS for all debt recovery matters, either initiating or defending.

As a builder we can be left in very exposed and vulnerable positions, sometimes outside of our control or doing. With a long-standing background in construction, Les has a profound knowledge and understanding of the residential and commercial construction sectors and its legal requirements. We never have to explain anything to him, he understands better than most the situations. He helps us immensely with contract dispute/grey areas and acts on the matters promptly and thoroughly. Les and Semele assisted me with a Fair Work dispute that arose with my previous employer. The situation left me in an extremely vulnerable and exposed position. My legal team were able to guide me clearly through what I considered to be an intimidating and nerve racking process. I was constantly assured me of my rights and they were very confident in their approach. My previous employer put up an extremely strong fight, trying to make an example of me personally and my position. My legal team didn’t buckle at the intense cavalry placed in front of them and went in with an extremely strong and calculated approach. Les and Semele have obviously worked together for a long time, and it was clear during the meetings and in the trial. My previous employer ended up retracting on their stance and we left the situation with a fantastic outcome and my reputation intact.
